Welcome to “In a manna of speaking”.
I started this blog because I’m all too often pondering the stuff of life, spirituality, relationships and faith. To be honest I was really happy for those thoughts to stay in my head, because sharing them with strangers in cyber-space is pretty scary. But in the end, I felt compelled to share them with others who could be encouraged by them, or even challenged by them. Ultimately I guess I just love to connect with other people in a down-to-earth, non-preachy, grace-filled way, which I hope I achieve each time I write.
Bible history tells us that God fed the Israelites in the wilderness with heavenly food – “manna” – and it nourished them for forty years. The more I deepen my connection with Jesus, the more I appreciate Him as the “Bread of life” in that he offers me complete spiritual nourishment and satisfaction. And so I would like to share something of that to anyone who is hungry for it, through my writing and music.
I’m a musician, and singer/songwriter. At some point in the future I plan to introduce both my own songs and share songs by other artists which inspire me and compliment what I am writing about here at In A Manna of Speaking.
